Cosplay is highly encouraged, but not required.Anyone who is a fan of anime, nerd culture, cosplaying, live performances, or craves that 2000s nostalgia of the early YouTube days is welcome.This event is 21+ only. Who is Metam0re?
Metam0re is a Vocaloid Cosplay and Dance cover duo, consisting of best friends Nat and Birdie. Both of us have a huge love of crafting, dancing, performing, and event planning! We love making our own cosplays for our performances, which often consist of our favorite Vocaloids, Kagamine Rin and Len. (Although we might have something else planned for this event...)Metam0re recently won Best Master's Performance at PortConMaine 2024 for our performance of Giga's Remix of 1, 2 Fanclub!Without a doubt, our favorite thing about doing Metam0re is making connections and new friends through the Idol Community ♡ Everyone in it has such an incredible passion for everything they do! We created Metam0rePHOSIS to be a safe, accessible, and welcoming space to all in the cosplay community (and beyond!) Our goal is to keep ticket prices as low as possible so it can remain accessible to all. Q: Can I participate in multiple performances in the Dance Sh0wcase?
A: Because we are expecting a high volume of applicants, we'd like to encourage individuals to only apply with one group. While we understand that many people are in multiple idol/dance groups, our goal is get as many individuals a chance to perform and be on stage as possible!
Q: Will there be vendor/artist applications opening?
A: THERE IS NO ARTIST/VENDOR MARKET AT METAM0REPHOSIS. Recently we had someone in our FaceBook event requesting information from people who wanted to be a vendor/artist - this is a SCAM. For any of our events, we will always keep our website updated and will only ever post information under the Metam0re FB account.
Q: Can I submit song suggestions?
A: We may open song requests in the future! We are still deciding which songs we'd like to bring back from last Metam0rePHOSIS!
Q: What if I'm not an idol fan or don't have an idol cosplay?
A: Not a problem at all! This event is for anyone in the cosplay community as well as non-cosplayers! This year, we've even evolved our Id0l Sh0wcase to a Dance Sh0wcase so non-idols are welcome to perform as well! We wanted to expand more into the "anime and nostalgia" aspects of our event with the Sh0wcase as well! Who knows, maybe we'll see the cast of Dragon Ball on stage dancing to Carameldansen
Q: What is you policy on props?
A: Since we do not have the means for a prop check station at our events, our rule is always that your prop should break before it can hurt someone. We also do not allow any type of prop guns at our events. It does not matter how fake it looks or how clearly marked as a prop the gun is - we simply cannot take the time to inspect them all which is why we must say no to any/all prop guns. For this specific event, we would advise attendees to leave your props at home, as the dance floor will be crowded and we don't want anyone getting whacked with a prop! Metam0re and Arts at the Armory Staff reserve the right to ask any attendee to either place their prop in their car or otherwise remove it from the event for any reason so that the safety of all attendees is prioritized.
Q: Will I be able to get into the event without an ID?
A: Nope! Absolutely everyone attending this event must bring a valid, government-issued ID. IDs will be checked both at the doors and when purchasing alcoholic beverages. Government-issued IDs can include: Driver's license, passport, passport card, non-driver photo ID etc. Your ID must have your birthdate on it!
Q: Will there be a coat check?
A: We have been informed there are coat racks available!
